This King, after finding out Haru-chan was a girl, takes on the role of being Haru's "father" while at the same time liking her, and Kyoya is the "mother". This becomes obvious once he starts to put her in situations to dress like a real girl. It is also obvious that he likes her when she attempts to protect some girls at a beach outing (and he yelled at her for that) and even when Haru shows her fear of thunder.

Suoh has the memory span of about a day (as it is shown when he leaves his house on a Sunday in his school clothes and pj bottoms.)

Suoh is the love child of his father's mistress, and he is looked down upon in the family... especially by his grandmother! Yet Tamaki still tries to please everyone. One day he is given a bargain from his evil grandmother. Tamaki's mother is in SERIOUS debt but his grandmother says she will pay it off if Tamaki comes to Japan and succeed his father's company. BUT, Tamaki's mother is NOT ALLOWED to come with him or contact him in ANY WAY. Tamaki leaves with his heart broken. His mother is so ashamed she disappears. Tamaki hasn't heard from her since.





Haruhi Fujioka came to the fancy hallways of the Ouran High School as a commoner dressed in odd baggy clothes and throughout the entire first day as a boy! It wasn't until the end of episode one that the Host Club members discovered that just wasn't true.

Because she broke a very expensive vase out of clumsiness, Haruhi is in debt to the Host Club and therefore has to continue having the female customers thinking she is a boy so that she can earn money back for the vase. Although, Tamaki, the leader of the host club, protests a little for he wishes to see Haruhi in her female-ness she had before where guys were asking her out once a month in her old school. At the moment it seems that the Hitachiin twins and Tamaki seem to like her a lot. She had even went on a sort of date with Hikaru Hitachiin once.

Also, she lost her first kiss mistakenly to a girl when Tamaki bumped into her. Her father, a great okama (a man who dresses like a woman) at an Okama bar, was not all too happy with this! Now, Tamaki deals with all of the host members the best she can with all of her density that fills her head! She's a little slow, so let's give her a shot.

Hanhuri was a popular girl back at her middle school. She would be confessed to at least once a month! But all she cared about was her studies so she didn't pay attention to the boys. She's also pretty slow at when a boy is trying to confess. She doesn't intend to break someone's heart, but she does unintentionally.




Of the twins, Hikaru is a little older and a bit more in control of their yaoi-like acts. Before their "customers" with the host club, Hikaru tends to heal the little things from Kaoru, his twin brother, by giving off the famous brotherly love look to make the girls awe. In most of these situations, even not in public, Hikaru is, as Haruhi says, "one level rougher" than Kaoru. He is pretty possessive of both his brother and Haruhi. Although together, these twins are the Little Devil Type and love to be mischeivious together! It's hard to tell them apart.

When the twins were younger, they never let anyone into their 'world' because no one could honestly tell them apart and it upset them. They kept to themselves until Tamaki offered them to help him create the Host Club. Now, they're always outgoing and love to torture Tamaki by playing with their respected "toy", Haruhi.

In acts of making their customers happy, as their role to make all girls happy and amused, Kaoru and his brother put up their incestful looking acts of yaoi to make them go in awe. It's usually that Kaoru would end up saying or doing something clumsy on purpose (sometimes) and his brother would go to heal that problem with a kiss on the finger or just hugs and comments of the fake (maybe) night before. But Kaoru is also a bit smarter and not as possessive, he has even set Hikaru on a date with Haruhi once to try and configure his brother's feelings. Although together, these twins are the Little Devil Type and love to be mischievous together! It's hard to tell them apart.

Kyoya Ootori is the vice president of the Host Club, founded by his best friend Tamaki Suoh, who is the president. Kyoya is the one who basically runs the club, paying for expenses, buying costumes, and balancing the checkbooks. Kyoya is sly, clever, and mysterious, and will use others as he sees fit. As he says, "use whatever is at hand, be it friend or foe."

He has a very forward way of explaining things. Take, for example, the beach incident with Haruhi. You should not awake Kyoya, in fear for your life. Kyoya is the third son of his family, trying to prove himself to his father so that he can inherit the family business, which includes hospitals and other medical establishments.





Mitsukuni Haninozuka is a senior attending Ouran High with Takashi and Satoshi Morinozuka, who are also his cousins, and with his younger brother, Yasuchika Haninozuka. But he and Satoshi are in the junior high division of Ouran. For some reason, Yasuchika has a grudge against his own brother.

He's the loli-shota type host in host club. He joined the club with Takashi because Tamaki Suoh asked Hunny-senpai to help him create the Host club. And yet, he attracts many clients with his cute and adorable act. Both in anime and manga, flowers would appear every time he talks. He maybe cute and small, but he's pretty strong since he was a middle school champion in karate and judo (seen in episode 7).

Mitsukuni has a sweet tooth for cakes and anything sweet. It is said that if he doesn't eat sweets for several days, he'll be one cranky host (as seen in episode 12). And also, if you wake him up during his nap times, you'll regret it, like when the atomic bomb explodes a mushroom cloud would appear... well, if it's Honey-senpai it would be a bunny-like cloud (also seen in episode 12).

He always brings his stuffed rabbit. It was made by his deceased grandmother and so he cherished it a lot and he calls it "Bun-Bun", and the ironic part is he doesn't like carrots much. Hunny-senpai doesn't like to hurt or be mean to others, but what he likes are giving hugs, taking naps, snack times and loves everybody in host club. In fact, he calls the hosts with the "-chan" at the end of their names like Haru-chan for Haruhi, Tama-chan for Tamaki and so on.

If he's upset, worried or uneasy about something, he goes to Takashi to rely on. Mitsukuni might be probably the only one who calls Mori-senpai by his first name.

Hunny-senpai probably knows that Takashi is following the tradition of the Morinozuka family serving the Haninozuka Family. Like Hikaru said, the servant-relationship between the two should have been dissolved already after a marriage blended the two families, two generations ago.

One time, he threw Mori-senpai right across the music room for not giving him at least a small portion of sweets during his cavities (episode 12).

He knew right away that Haruhi was actually a girl.

He's a senior attending Ouran High with Hunny-senpai a senior who's also his cousin. Both of them are in the same class. The only reason why Takashi joined the Host Club is because Hunny-senpai did. He is a tall, tanned, dark, handsome, quiet guy. He's the perfect guy for girls looking for guys who have the same traits as Mori-senpai has. He IS quite popular with the ladies who goes to their Host Club. Like Kyoya said "His taciturnity is his selling point". But for some odd reason, he is labeled the "Wild" type host. He takes orders quite seriously and literally. You can picture him as a Siberian husky, strong yet a kind personality. So far the only one who calls him by his first name is Hunny-senpai, and Mori-senpai calls Hunny-senpai by his first name too. For generations, the Morinozuka Family served the Haninozuka Family, until a marriage between them blended the two families two generations ago. Still, Mori-senpai followed this tradition, serving Hunny-senpai.

In the first episode, you see Mori-senpai carried Haruhi away from Tamaki like a sack of potatoes, when Haruhi calls him out for help (at the moment he carries her, he found out that Haruhi is actually a girl). And also, in episode 2, he and Hunny-senpai kidnapped her while she was dancing with Kasugasaki Kanako (at that time Kanako doesn't know Haruhi is really a girl and at the end Kanako and Haruhi kissed).

Later we find out in episode 7 that he is also a member in the Kendo Club and one heck of a national champion! Also, in the same episode, you see a little moment when Mori-senpai calls Haruhi for the first time by her first name, and Haruhi was actually happy about it.

In episode 12, when Hunny-senpai got his cavities, we got to see him talk more after Hunny-senpai threw him across the music room because he wouldn't give him sweets. He can be very negative and very pessimistic if Hunny-senpai is mad at him or Hunny-senpai is hurt.

In the manga, we see Takashi isn't an only child, he has a younger brother. His name is Satoshi Morinozuka and he's the captain of the Kendo Club. Unlike his brother, Satoshi is more outgoing than Mori-senpai, but Satoshi looks up to him and adores him. Hatori Bisco, the creator of Ouran High School Host Club said that there could be a slight little chance that Mori-senpai and Haruhi could be a couple!
